On Aug. 24, 2022, the Biden-Harris Administration announced the Student Debt Relief Plan intended to provide relief for low- and middle-income student loan borrowers.
Federal Pell Grant recipients will receive up to $20,000 in debt relief, and non-Pell Grant recipients will receive up to $10,000 in relief. Borrowers will be eligible for this one-time student loan debt relief if their individual income is less than $125,000 or if their household income is less than $250,000.
