Horace Mann donating up to $25,000 in DonorsChoose.org funding to help Northern California area schools
The Northern California wildfires have left many homeless and neighborhoods vacated, making this school year a special challenge for area educators as they strive to help those affected. Let's rally to start the healing and show our support.
Horace Mann and DonorsChoose.org are rallying to support these teachers and schools by encouraging donors across the nation to help bring healing and repair to the area. Horace Mann is offering a $25,000 Northern California Relief DonorsChoose.org Match Campaign. During this campaign, Horace Mann will match every donation, up to $25,000, to replace items that were damaged, create a new learning environment, and provide school supplies or clothing.
Help us with the rebuilding effort! Visit the campaign page on DonorsChoose.org and make a donation today!

Agent Blake Danielson will host DonorsChoose.org workshops in affected schools to assist educators in posting projects that best serve their needs.
“We know some educators have been devastated by the Carr wildfire, and this is just one small way we can help. We know it takes a lot of time and money to get things ready to return to school during a normal year, and this year some educators have lost their homes,” said Danielson. “The DonorsChoose.org workshops will help educators determine what they need the most, and give them an opportunity to ask communities nationwide to help.”
If you are an educator with an existing project, submit the number so it can be considered for funding, and get started creating a project now.
Schools or educators interested in finding out more about the workshops should contact Blake at 530-892-8842 or Blake.Danielson@horacemann.com. You can also find out more about how to qualify for the match campaign here.
