This October let’s go beyond breast cancer awareness and take action to help protect yourself and the women you love.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death from cancer in American women.1 However, according to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected early, and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%.2

Early detection is key and includes doing monthly breast self-exams and scheduling regular clinical breast exams and mammograms. Learn more about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

Should you or your loved one be faced with a breast cancer diagnosis, we want your focus to be on recovery. A cancer diagnosis can bring many unexpected, out-of-pocket expenses – even if you have major medical insurance.

We have a cancer insurance program to help give you peace of mind by providing benefits that pay for some of those added expenses, such as screenings, surgery, transportation and more.

Pass it on by telling the important women in your life – your mom, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, friend – to take action this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Remind all the women you love to do their monthly self-exams, get regular screenings and plan for the unexpected.
